A parenting education program for men

Hey, Dad! is a five session program designed for men to explore the challenges of fathering.

 Topics include:

• Understanding your children as they grow
• New directions in discipline
• Men as parents in today’s world
• Effective communication between fathers and children
• Dealing with strong emotions
• Juggling your needs and those of your children

Some common issues for men parenting children can include:

• Managing difficult behaviours
• Being an access dad
• Not having enough time with your children
• Being a step dad, being a solo dad
• Cultural differences

Centacare can arrange follow-up family services and counseling if required.
