Counselors at Centacare are experienced in areas of marital, family and individual counseling. They are professionally qualified and spend a considerable amount of time in training and up-dating their skills.

Counselors are bound by a professional oath of confidentiality. They do not give out information to anyone else ( including a spouse ) without your permission.

This right is extended to children in a family. A person's privacy is treated with the utmost respect by all staff. 

The Counsellor will not solve your problem.

A good Counsellor will not give advice nor tell you what to do.

A Counsellor will help you:

1. Be aware of and work on developing your particular strengths.

2. Direct those strengths in such a way that you can cope more easily with your life.

3. Enable you to make decisions that are best for you and to understand the consequences of these decisions.
